2021 CBCA Illawarra-South Coast Literary Lunch

The 2021 Children’s Literary Lunch has been cancelled due to Covid 19. The Committee had already postponed the event, hoping conditions would improve. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. It’s very sad, but I’m hoping we can look forward to more events in 2022!

A Few Photos From “Paint with Magic” Book Launch

Book Launch cake – Yummy!

I sat in my room on a cold rainy day, trying to think of a fun game to play. I grabbed my new paintbox from under the table. ‘Paint with Magic’ it said on the label.

I painted an octopus in a blue sea. But when I had finished, he shouted at me: ‘Hey you, with the paint brush!’ (I gasped in alarm). ‘I’ve only got seven. You’ve left off one arm.’

Many thanks to award-winning children’s author Dianne Bates for helping me launch “Paint with Magic!”

The South Coast Writer’s Centre covered the event. So be sure to check out Facebook for additional photos! https://www.facebook.com/sandi.wooton

Book Launch – Paint With Magic

The book launch at the Wollongong City Library went well, on the 22nd of June. Although attendance was small, I hadn’t really expected a large audience, especially with fierce competition from The Wiggles who were performing out at Thirroul that morning!!! I think everyone who attended had a lovely time, with the reading of the story, a colouring-in contest, cake and free bookmarks. Award winning children’s author Di Bates did a wonderful job helping me launch the book. Thank you Di, and thank you to everyone who helped out and attended the launch on Saturday! I really appreciated your support. I am attaching a couple of photos from the event. Check out the South Coast Writer Centre’s Facebook page for more photos: https://www.facebook.com/SCWCentre

PS: Congratulations to Hugh, who won a copy of Paint with Magic for his wonderful colouring-in during the competition.
